Things to Consider When Choosing Your Medical Scrubs

It's well known that nurses and other medical professionals work a lot of hours - which means much of their life is spent in scrubs. It's important to find the perfect fitting scrubs that reflect your personal style. Some hospitals, clinics, or other medical care companies have a very strict dress code and may only allow solid colors or only a certain color, but many allow nurses and other staff to wear whatever style, color, or pattern they prefer.

Structure

The starting point for choosing is usually the actual structure of the top. Do you prefer v-neck, scoop neck, boat neck, or sweetheart necklines? Are you more comfortable in mock wrap, short-sleeved tunics, or shirts with empire waists? You also have the option to have side slits for greater mobility as well as pockets that are large enough for what you need to hang onto. For the pants you have to choose between high-waisted, low-waisted or something in between, as well as, straight leg, boot cut, or flare.

Colors

White scrubs are the standard and they certainly have a sterile look to them when they're clean, but if you're in a position where you are likely to get dirty, it's probably a good idea to wear colored scrubs. Every person has "their color," that they feel the look best in. Everyone knows that when you look good, you feel good, so wearing scrubs that you genuinely like can increase job performance and morale. Beyond colors, there are so many themes and patterns that are available to you, as well.

At The Uniform Outlet, we know that many of our customers spend more time in our scrubs than out, which is why we offer a wide range of style, structure, color, and size options.
